Land development typically involves obtaining entitlements from the prevailing governmental jurisdictions; subdivision; engineering of roads, water, sewer, storm drainage, and best management practices to protect the environment; design and construction of entrance features, amenities, and signage; and contracting for utilities like electrical and telecommunications services. Initiating and maintaining good relationships with neighbors, property owners associations, planning boards, and city council members are extremely important. As evidenced by The Crescent business park, our entranceways, signage, hardscape, and landscaping are of the highest quality. We have utilized Tennessee Orchard Stone for decorative walls and a variety of paving materials for courtyards and street crossings. We have used nationally recognized landscape and graphic designers for distinctive design. Our projects typically include an extensive flower program, changing out colorful annual flowers every season.
We have been "green" for over 25 years, saving trees and installing the highest quality landscaping. We were installing tree protection fencing and protecting trees long before this was required. Under our typical construction contract, no site grading is permitted until our developer has personally walked the site with the general and grading contractors. No one does a better job.
In order to conserve water, we select plant species and limit turf areas to reduce irrigation. Furthermore, we utilize storm water and/or wells for landscape irrigation whenever feasible.
